Who We Are

We Print Lanyards is a UK manufacturer of custom printed lanyards, ID cards and workplace identification products, based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire. We manufacture our custom printed lanyards in house, alongside a wide range of identification products, from single bespoke orders to large branded rollouts. This gives us direct control over quality throughout the process, from printing and finishing to final assembly. We work with organisations of all sizes across education, healthcare, business, charities, events and the public sector. Whatever the requirement, our team combines practical product knowledge with straightforward, helpful service.

Our lanyards and wristbands use recycled PET fabric as standard, made from recycled plastic bottles, durable, fully printable, and produced in the UK for a lower carbon footprint.

Our Story

We Print Lanyards started with our founder, Malcolm Humphreys.

In 2001, he launched Visitor Management Limited, one of the UK's early electronic visitor management systems, helping organisations move away from paper visitor books towards something more secure and efficient.

That work led naturally into printed passes, ID cards and access credentials. By 2012, demand for custom printed lanyards was strong enough to stand on its own as a new business: We Print Lanyards.

We began with screen printing, moved to dye sublimation in 2015 for better quality and more design freedom, and in 2017 settled into our current manufacturing facility in Long Eaton, where we still make everything today.

In 2025, we became part of CCL Industries (UK) Ltd, a global leader in specialty labelling and identification.

This brings more scale and investment behind the scenes, but day to day, little has changed: the same team, the same factory and the same focus on getting your order right.

Making everything in house is a deliberate choice. It allows us to control quality from the first print to the final bond, turn work around quickly and keep investing in better machinery and processes rather than depending on third parties.
